Purpledayss Football Match
The Purpledayss Football Match is an annual Epilepsy awareness event, created to bring people together through sport, community and lived experience. Each year, the match is built around a new awareness campaign, shining a light on different realities of living with epilepsy while creating a fun, welcoming day where people can meet others, make new friends and feel part of something bigger. The event brings together players, families, supporters, sponsors, businesses and members of the wider community, with opportunities for sponsorship, raffle prizes, fundraising, gifts and collaborations throughout the day. It is also about challenging the barriers people with Epilepsy can face when taking part in sport and physical activity. Having personally experienced being treated differently in dance because of my Epilepsy, this event is a way of showing that people with Epilepsy can still participate, compete, achieve and enjoy sport with the right understanding and support.
Alongside raising awareness, the match also raises money to support the work and initiatives of Purpledayss, helping us continue creating opportunities, campaigns and community projects that make a meaningful difference.

#KickForEpilepsy was the campaign behind the first ever Purpledayss Football Match, held on the 28th of March 2026. The event brought loads of people together for Epilepsy awareness, inclusion and fundraising. Two teams: The Tonic Clonics and The Myoclonics took to the pitch while the wider event included raffle prizes, community support, media coverage and opportunities to start important conversations about Epilepsy. With the support of everyone involved, the match raised £1,500, including an amazing £500 donated from LivaNova sponsoring the whole day and event taking part in the match. This popular event helps Purpledayss continues its awareness and community work while proving that Epilepsy should never be a reason for someone to feel excluded from sport.
