1. Purpose of This Policy

Purpledayss is a small awareness-led business dedicated to raising awareness of epilepsy, promoting education, supporting communities and advocating for people living with epilepsy and other invisible disabilities. Through fundraising events, campaigns, partnerships and donations, we aim to create meaningful opportunities that educate, inspire and bring people together. Purpledayss is not a registered charity. Money contributed directly to Purpledayss supports our awareness activities, community projects, events and associated running costs, as explained in this policy.

Purpledayss Gives

Purchasing gifts, care packages and other suitable items for gifting campaigns.

Supporting the development and continuation of future gifting initiatives.

Marketing and Promotion

Designing and printing posters, banners, leaflets and other promotional materials.
Advertising events, campaigns and awareness initiatives.
Website costs and digital resources associated with our projects.
Photography, videography and other creative materials that help communicate our message.

Operational and Development Costs

Essential administrative and operational expenses connected to Purpledayss activities.
Resources, services and equipment required to deliver campaigns.
Planning and developing future awareness and community initiatives.

Money raised through an individual event or campaign may be used to cover the costs of delivering that activity. Any remaining funds may support future Purpledayss awareness initiatives, community projects or events, unless a specific fundraising appeal has stated a different purpose.

We aim to ensure that money contributed to Purpledayss continues to support our mission and the communities we work with.

5. Annual Fundraising Events

Purpledayss currently has two main annual initiatives.

Purpledayss Football Match

Our annual football match brings people together to raise awareness of epilepsy, challenge misconceptions and encourage community participation.

Funds and sponsorship received for the event may contribute towards venue hire, equipment, accessibility requirements, promotional materials, event organisation and other necessary costs.

Any remaining funds may be reinvested into future football matches, epilepsy awareness campaigns, educational resources and wider Purpledayss community initiatives.

Purpledayss Gives

Purpledayss Gives is our annual gifting initiative, through which we aim to support individuals, families, hospitals and communities.

Funds contributed towards these campaigns may be used to purchase gifts and essential items, create care packages, cover delivery costs and support the organisation of gifting activities.

Each year may feature a different campaign under the Purpledayss Gives initiative.

Where contributions are requested for a specific project, we will explain the intended use of those funds and communicate any significant changes to that purpose.

6. Donations and Contributions

Purpledayss accepts voluntary financial contributions through approved methods, including our website and fundraising events.

Contributions are made directly to Purpledayss unless otherwise stated.

Supporters should understand that:

Purpledayss is a business and not a registered charity.
Contributions made directly to Purpledayss do not automatically go to an external charity.
Funds may be used to cover legitimate event, campaign and operational costs described in this policy.
Donations to Purpledayss are not eligible for charitable Gift Aid.
All contributions are voluntary, with no obligation to donate.

Where fundraising is undertaken specifically for an external registered charity, Purpledayss will clearly identify the charity, explain how funds will be transferred and distinguish that arrangement from contributions made directly to Purpledayss.

8. Volunteers, Sponsors and Partners

Individuals and organisations supporting fundraising activities on behalf of Purpledayss are expected to:

Act respectfully and represent Purpledayss positively.
Follow relevant Purpledayss policies and event guidance.
Obtain permission before organising fundraising activities in the Purpledayss name.
Ensure activities are conducted safely, legally and inclusively.

Sponsorship arrangements and partnerships will be agreed individually, with clear expectations about financial contributions, donated goods or services and any recognition provided in return.

Contributions may support the delivery of current projects, the development of future initiatives and essential costs involved in organising and promoting our activities.

Funds are not automatically transferred to an external charity unless a particular campaign explicitly states that they will be.
