I was just 14 years old, on my way to dance class when I experienced my first seizure. It took nearly two years before I received a formal diagnosis of Epilepsy. During that time I faced many challenges like feeling very isolated at school and struggling academically. Eventually I was also diagnosed with a learning disability related to my Epilepsy, which further impacted my confidence and independence. As i navigated my way through life I quickly began to realise how misunderstood epilepsy is. the world felt unkind once it became clear I had a disability, and my mental health declined as a result.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit the UK in 2019 and lockdown began, I turned to social media as an outlet. I started creating videos about my epilepsy experience, and to my surprise they gained a lot of attention. People were eager to learn more, ask questions and hear my perspective. I found a real purpose in sharing my story and offering friendly, honest advice based on my own journey. As interest in my content grew across various platforms I felt inspired to do more. That's when the idea for Purpledayss was born. I wanted to create a safe space to raise awareness, support others and create the kind of community I wish had existed when i was first diagnosed.

My goals for this small business is to continue growing and raising awareness about epilepsy wherever and whenever possible. As more people began reaching out to me, I connected with individuals and brands who wanted to hear my story. This inspired me to push forward more with my mission. I created Purpledayss to ensure that no-one ever feels the way I did at 14 years old- alone misunderstood and unsupported. I want everyone living with Epilepsy to feel safe, confident and proud of who they are. We are all warriors and the Epilepsy community deserves to be heard, recognised and celebrated.

I launched the Purpledayss website at the age of 21, after recognising a gap in the market for stylish, empowering epilepsy-focused products. My aim was to build something that not only raises awareness and funds but also allows people to express themselves through fashion and feel part of a supportive community. The products I have independently designed and created are to boost confidence, bring comfort during difficult times and start conversations with others. I want families and friends to also show their support, by purchasing something you are all helping raise money for epilepsy hot lines and more medical research.

Purpledayss is more than just a brand, it is a space space, where people can feel contented, make friends, and be proud of who they are. epilepsy should never be isolating. together we can build a stronger more informed community and make a long lasting difference.
